Interesting fact- Films in the USA are filmed at and run at 24 fps (frames per second) but in the UK and most other parts of the world they run at 25 fps which means an US made film or TV shows originated on film will run 4% faster in the UK. This makes US films and TV shows shorter, the only noticeable thing is that voices are slightly higher. It all started beacuse of the difference in the hertz of the electricity when sound films came in during the 1920s
